job description

Site Agent - Civil Engineering Framework - Small Works to Highways and Public Realms - Upto £50,000 plus package

About the Company A well established and respected civil engineering contractor who has built up a reputation for reliability and exceptional service delivery. They are often the first port of call when a problem seems insurmountable or where there's an emergency such as flooding, structural failures, embankment failure or a road collapse.

They frequently bring added value to civil engineering clients through our passion for Early Contractor Involvement (ECI). Through early collaboration on their projects they are able to understand client constraints, desired outcomes and influence design thus increasing predictability of programme and cost by vastly mitigating delivery risks. Working in close collaboration with clients and their stakeholders such as councils and other landowners, they have been responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of some of the Midlands busiest roads.

About the Role:

You will join as a Site Agent and work on local schemes to telford.

You will oversee the delivery of small works packages including drainage, earthworks, fencing, kerbing, footpaths, lighting, signage and others. Your duties will include the coordination and management of gangs of workers, ensuring that health & safety is adhered to and works are completed to programme.

There will be a high volume of low value works to manage concurrently and you will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships.

What you need to succeed You must have a strong civil engineering background and ideally have experience working on highways maintenance or local authority framework contracts. You should be educated to a degree or HNC level in civil engineering and have relevant certification including SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS.

Ideally this role will start in October. You must have a valid driving license.
