POSITION SUMMARY:


Site Engineer to join the linear team to deliver a smart motorway scheme. Works scope as follows: Vegetation Clearance, Earthworks using machine control, Sheet Piling, Retaining Structures, VRS Installation, and associated temporary works.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Setting out permanent and temporary works
* Completing site surveys and providing records i.e. sketches/schedules
* On site co-ordination of activities
* Developing and reviewing safe systems of work
* Ensuring compliance with safe systems of work
* Ensuring all works comply with highways and project specification and drawings
* Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved ITP
* Carrying out quality assurance inspections and completing ITP check sheets
* Ensuring all activities on site are recorded through daily diaries and photographs
* Reviewing drawings and raising technical queries relating to the design
* Deliver workforce briefings

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

* Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng)
* Minimum 3 years' experience delivering infrastructure projects in a site role
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS
* Good written and oral communication skills
* The ability to communicate with site workforce
* Experience in some or all: Vegetation Clearance, Earthworks using machine control, Sheet Piling, Retaining Structures, VRS Installation, and associated temporary works.
