Are you an experienced Site Manager from a new build residential housing background? My client who typically builds both spec and social housing is looking a Freelance Site Manager to join their team on a new build housing development near Kidderminster. This opportunity has the potential of going to a permanent contract.

Duties will include:



* To be responsible for the organisation and delivery of excellent quality works including new build construction and refurbishment works.
* To be responsible for on-site quality control, health and safety of each development and major works programmes as directed.
* To monitor performance of in-house trade team, contractors and other works providers against targets; identify shortfalls and remedial action for improvements.
* To manage projects within the financial constraints of budgets
* To ensure excellent customer satisfaction is maintained throughout the service provision.
* To participate in resident liaison and consultation at all key stages of a project
* To ensure that each project site setup check list has been completed and signed off, Including welfare, access and egress, signage, pedestrian and traffic routes and compound has been established.
* Site documentation is updated on a daily basis, including the site diary, risk assessments / method statements, delivery off loading documentation, CSCS / SMSTS and scaffolding inspections.
* Ensure productivity targets are achieved and continuous improvements are made in securing value for money services.

Qualifications:



* Qualification in Building Construction at HNC or degree level or demonstrable experience equivalent to degree qualification.
* Hold a relevant H&S qualification i.e. SMSTS

Experience:



* Experience of the new build construction industry and in particular new housing projects (not less than 5 years)
* Knowledge and experience of building contracts at site management.
* Strong commercial awareness and budget management.
