Do you have a strong background in house building and thrive on working on large multi-phase schemes? We are looking for someone like you.

* Location: Worthing, West Sussex
* Contract type: Freelance
* Start date: Late June 2018
* Duration: 13 months
* Sector: Residential development
* Salary/Rate: £230 per day (Umbrella, CIS or PSC)

The company:

A tier 1 UK developer that specialise in volume developments using traditional brick & block and RC frame construction methods to deliver their product to the mass market.

The development:

A traditional build development of 62 units (40 apartments and 37 houses) aiming to deliver 1 house per week. Within the development will be a section of Affordable Housing along with rental units which will be acquired by a local Housing Association.

The role:

As the lead Manager on the development your role will include but not be limited to:

* Lead the production programme from an operational perspective.
* Control and coordinate subcontractors on a daily basis.
* Schedule and call off materials, plant and labour.
* Write short-term programmes.
* Chair weekly subcontractor meetings and attend various internal organisation meetings.
* Point of contact for external bodies which include NHBC, Highways England, Utilities providers and Local Authorities.
* Promote and implement the company's health & safety policies and procedures.
* Provide training as when there is a requirement to ensure safe systems of work are adhered to.
* Carry out site inspections to check progress against programme, resolve technical issues, safety checks and for quality.
* Management of an Assistant Site Manager once key milestones are achieved in the programme.

About you:

* Recent and relevant experience with a volume developer as a lead Site Manager is essential.
* CSCS Black Management Card.
* First Aid.
* Scaffold Inspection.
* Strong man-management skills.
* Strong level of IT literacy as a laptop will be provided.
