Randstad Care is currently recruiting for an experienced support worker or newly qualified social worker based in the Reading area. This is a full time position for a passionate individual that is able to work on a flexible shift system and the hourly rate will be between £11.00 and £15.00 dependant on experience

This role is perfect for a newly qualified social worker who is confident in picking up a referral where there has been an incidence of family breakdown. The family support worker would be expected to analyse the family and quickly decide what will work well for them and create a smart action plan to key work with the Children and families

As a support worker you will be required to undertake the following tasks:

- Taking Service users out into the community with their families and analysing their behaviours

-Encouraging and guiding the service user during the activities and providing an enthusiastic approach to the

activities and all aspects of their lives.

- Provide care and support

-Engaging with the service user to ensure there health and well being is always a top priority

-Analysing families and quickly risk assessing situations

-Implementing smart plans

-Promoting independence in the service user

-Liaising with social workers and local authorities

Key requirements to be suitable for this role include:

-An insight into therapeutic parenting

-Previous experience working as a family support worker

-Previous experience working with Children from a troubled background

-The ability to work as part of a team and alongside local authorities

-Good communication skills both written and verbal

-Basic IT skills

-Health and social care qualifications are desirable

-Drivers are desirable
