A Qualified Social Worker is required on a full time basis to fulfil a locum contract for Barry Childrens Services Care Management team, for an initial 3 month contracts based at the Docks Offices, Barry. Pay rate for this position is between £21.31 PAYE and £27.50 Ltd company. Start date for this role is asap following internal promotions.

Duties and responsibilities of this position include:

-Post holder will be based within a busy frontline team within Children's Services - working with children, young people and their families

-Post holder will be responsible for holding cases involving children and young people subject to Care and Support Plans, child protection plans, Looked After Children plans

-Post holder may be required to hold cases within pre proceedings and care proceedings

-Post holder will need to have a minimum of 18 months post qualifying experience that has been obtained within a Children's Services setting

-Post holder will be familiar with safeguarding procedures and court processes

-Post holder will have well developed IT and report writing/assessment skills and be confident in presenting information both verbally and in writing

-Post holder will receive monthly supervision

In order to apply for this role you will need to have the following:

-A minimum of 18 months post qualified experience within children's services

-Social Work Qualification with Care Council for Wales
