Software Release Analyst

New opportunity to join a leading Glasgow based organisation as a Software Release Analyst. You will work as part of the Change & release management function and be responsible for managing coordinating and controlling application releases throughout the development lifecycle, always ensuring policy, processes and best practice standards are adhered to.

The organisation are going through a large transformation programme, building some amazing new digital solutions to support future growth and modernisation of the customer facing systems and services.

Key responsibilities:

* Work across different business units, coordinating software changes, configuration and release processes
* Manage releases to ensure integrity of the live environment is protected
* Monitor efficiency and effectiveness of Release management processes seeking improvements where possible
* Ensure all relevant teams adhere to release management process - manage any issues that arise
* Coordinate the build and test environments releases
* Oversee delivery of releases through the full lifecycle, mitigating issues with dependencies, environment availability and other releases by utilising the Release Schedule (and sharing with key stakeholders)

Previous experience:-

* Working knowledge of the following;

* Linux (with some scripting skills)
* Version controls tool(s)
* CI tools e.g. Jenkins, Go CD etc
* Key database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB

* Software configuration management knowledge
* Strong background creating and reviewing release plans
