Spatial Planning Project Officer

Are you an experienced Spatial Planning Project Officer professional looking to progress? Due to an increase in secured workload, we are seeking Spatial Planning Project Officer to join our Local Government planning division for our client, a consultancy based in London, who are offering a career defining opportunity for an ambitious planning professional looking to build their reputation and portfolio of planning experience in a successful, rapidly growing consultancy.


Post: Spatial Planning Project Officer

Rate: Circa £23 - £26 per hour

South London - 6 month contract


The main duties of the role are as followings;



* Reporting on a range of Local Development Documents, Infrastructure Delivery Plan(IDP), masterplans and conservation matters and planning obligations
* Reporting to the assigned project manager in terms of discharging agreed responsibilities
* Obtaining financial approval to activities and projects, in accordance with financial regulations
* Ensuring planning documents meet all appraisal and assessment criteria for environment, sustainability, equalities and community strategy implications

Requirements



* Relevant RTPI approved qualifications, skills, knowledge and competence in spatial planning to qualify for RTPI membership.
* Understanding of current issues & developments affecting planning, regeneration & local government in London
* Good understanding of current issues & developments affecting planning, regeneration & local government in London
* Planning experience in a consultancy or local government environment
