Are you an experienced special needs teaching assistant?
Are you looking to work with young adults?
Do you have a good understanding of working with Autism?

A school in the Guildford area is looking to recruit an individual who is able to demonstrate an understanding of what it takes to work with autistic learners. It is an outstanding school that supports learners from the ages 7 to 25 year olds.
Your role will be working the young adults promoting their functional skills and their independence.

Your role will require:
Liaise with teacher to ensure all learners are supported
Engage with the learners to keep them on task
Enable learners to attain skills to develop their independence
Deliver 1:1 or small group focused lessons when required

The skills required:
A*-C in Maths and English is essential
Previous experience working with Autistic learners is essential
Patience and flexibility to deal with changes
Ability to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
