Want to make a significant difference to the life of another individual? An individual who continuously will have to deal with Mental Health obstacles yet still has the burning desire to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a Mentor to help navigate students through their studies but also just as importantly through their day to day life also.

In this heavily student populated city there are students silently suffering day to day with Mental Health conditions, but we provide support at numerous city centre institutions meaning that you have a chance to make your mark on many of them.

* To provide one-to-one support to students with disabilities at the institution in their dedicated support rooms
* Working closely with individual students to develop coping mechanisms to aid them with high skills and anxiety and stress levels that they will experience throughout studies.
* Developing and introducing strategies to deal with time management, managing workload and creating a healthy work-life balance.
* Also, to implement non-subject specific support strategies that will aid them outside of the College in their every day life.
* Create a manageable schedule for you and your students.
* To report student attendance daily via the Opus system to ensure students remain on track for academic progression and success.


Full or associate membership of one of the below bodies;

* Association of Child Psychotherapists; BABCP accreditation; BACMP/MBACP membership; British Psychoanalytic Council; British Psychological Member (alongside a PG qualification in Psychology or Mental Health);COSCA accredited; FDAP (NACA);General Medical Council Psychiatry; Health and Care Professions Council; IACP membership; Nursing and Midwifery Council; Social Worker Body for Scotland or Wales; UKCP full clinical member; UMHAN member

Desirable Qualifications:

Autism / Asperger's Qualifications of one of the below;

* All NAS core autism online training modules
* Holds a PG Certificate in Autism / PG Certificate in Aspergers

We are looking to eradicate these obstacles for these deserving students and it all starts with you. If you are successful we will arrange a telephone interview where we would inform you on the call whether you have passed the interview, then we take you through the registration process. The registration process varies between 2 weeks - 6 weeks, which include to name a few: documents; contract signing; minimum 2 referees.
