job description

Structural engineering consultancy based in West London are expanding and require a structural technician to join their team. The work will be a good mix of Autocad and Revit.

Excellent communication skills are essential. You will be working on challenging and complex buildings projects, mainly high end residential and commercial schemes normally up to £3-4m, with some larger projects. Currently they have a project in the region of £25m which is a new build development of 150 flats.

They are a really nice firm, currently 15 staff. They are a financially stable practice who own their own building. They have a very flexible attitude - staff work flexible hours, they have an annual trip away abroad paid for by the company (they have previously been to Venice/Brussels/Budapest), the offer good training (courses etc), bonus scheme (in recent years this has been up to 10% of annual salary) and a dynamic work environment. They want people who want to work in a varied role and be part of a close knit team. Cycle parking is available, public transport nearby and free street parking too.

This role would suit an ambitious and dynamic individual who wants to develop and grow their career. There is the possibility for a management role in the future to manage the cad/revit side of the practice's work and possibly other technicians as well.

Ideally you will have some years experience working with a UK structural design practice, but several years experience as a structural technician is essential. Candidates already in London will be given priority.
