job description

Do you have your own car? Are you looking for a weekend job that could open up doors for a professional career?

A specialist residential school and college in Lingfield, Surrey boasts over 15 houses providing board to young people with disabilities on a year-round, term time, weekly and daily basis. Helping vulnerable people in society has been at the centre of what they've always done, whether it's through leading research into neurological conditions for under 25's, or linking with Great Ormond Street and other top institutes to further their research. The school and college claims: 'our work is never-ending and our desire to make lives better is our driving force.'

On-site, learners enjoy a specialised curriculum focused on education, care, therapy, sports and more. As a member of the specialist team, you can enjoy free qualifications and lucrative career progression, with unlimited opportunities across the organisation. This truly is a golden opportunity for the right person...

* Free staff parking
* Qualifications while working
* Amazing opportunities for progression - you can develop a career in any area of the organisation!
* Flexible part-time work available

What are your responsibilities?

* Promoting health and well being; helping vulnerable young people to look after themselves so they can enjoy aspects of life that may previously have been inaccessible. Help them to discover long walks in the fresh country air and the joy of playing with animals on site!
* Encouraging independence through positive life choices and core values: you are their role model and represent what can be possible with hard work and success.
* Safeguarding and looking after students in all environments, according to their care plans. Life is a journey for all of us and those who are vulnerable will fall down more than most: can you pick them up, dust them off and motivate them to keep trying in everything they do?
* Working with medical staff, physiotherapists and social workers to help students achieve key objectives such as utilising motor skills effectively, picking up a toothbrush for themselves and coordinating social interactions. These may seem like trivial goals, but can be life-changing for some people.
* Looking after our vulnerable students' personal care and upholding their dignity and respect whilst doing so.

What is required?

* You MUST have your own car because of our location
* A true passion to want to change lives and progress your career
* Availability between 6:45am to 2pm and 1:45pm to 10pm

Part-time weekends, term time and full-time options available - ask for more details!
