Great news! Randstad Care is constantly recruiting for temporary candidates in the Brighton area.

This service specialises in autism and autistic spectrum conditions, but more generally in a wide range of complex learning disabilities and emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. They support children and young people located in the heart of Brighton, around 10 minutes away from the station, with a competitive rate of pay.

Job Responsibilities:

- Act as a key worker for young people; take responsibility for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of placement/support plans.

- Staff will need to be aware and work in a proactive manner to ensure learners are supported effectively, feel secure and reduce anxieties.

- Support residents in accessing appropriate leisure activities on site and off site.

- To support young people entering the service for the first time, moving between residential units or leaving the service, enabling them to prepare for the change, and to become familiar with the new environment and responding to any distress they may experience.

- Work in conjunction with the Behaviour Support team & other relevant colleagues in the assessment, development, implementation and review of programmes aimed at enabling resident young people to manage their challenging behaviour

- Risk assessments

- Ensure that residents' care files are updated and accurate and maintained.


Requirements:

- Passionate about helping people and comfortable to work with behavioural difficulties

- Good communication skills and computer literate

- Active and engaging to help vulnerable young people to do various activities on and off-site

- Willing to do their qualification in care as soon as they are on the permanent contract

- Flexible with shift patterns and can work every other weekend
