An opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability Manager with a client of ours based in Nottingham. We are seeking a senior, inspiring, 'can-do' person who can balance creativity with a practical delivery mind-set. The candidate must demonstrate personal credibility to influence, challenge and drive collaboration during both the conception and implementation of a world class corporate sustainability strategy.

The Sustainability Manager role will focus on the strategic development and implementation of a sustainability plan. They are looking for a dynamic and engaging individual who can play a key role in setting the strategy with the senior team and then driving the delivery of the program to create material competitive advantages for the business.

The main duties include the responsibility for the following:



* Working with the QESH Director to develop and deliver a sustainability strategy that helps the group continue their journey towards being a truly purpose led business.
* Deliver insightful and timely analytics for internal management reporting and support delivery of external reporting, including Annual Reports and benchmarking.
* Designing strategies and delivering programmes to increase employees' engagement and capability in sustainability.
* Drive the implementation of a comprehensive and cost effective Impact Assessment and analytics strategy to track the societal and commercial outcomes from the social value corporate social responsibility and Sustainability activities.
* Supporting the business units to articulate their specific sustainability proposition and objectives and the related action plans.
* Provide exceptional stakeholder support that builds trust in the working relationship, confidence in our expertise, and a positive reputation for the wider function.
* Build alliances inside and outside the business to meet the strategic objectives
* Coordinate liaison with supply chain partners and third party organisations


Skills and Experience



* Degree level qualification
* Ability to communicate at all levels in a way that promotes positive engagement.
* Flexibility and responsive to change
* Takes ownership of and identifies problems and resolves straightforward problems quickly
* Experience of preparing and presenting management reports
