This specialised SEMH School in Bradford, is looking for a behavioural assistant who is compassionate and enjoys working with children who need additional support.

You would be joining a team whose aim is to provide the best educational, care and transitional pathways for children aged 5-19 years, who experience difficulties with their learning, communication and social emotional mental health needs.

Your role will include

* Providing engaging 1 to 1 support for some students
* Monitoring and evaluating students learning under the guidance of the teacher
* Assisting teachers in the use of relevant behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive an proactive environment for teaching and learning to take place
* Supporting all learners in their planned structured work

The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:

* Be able to work with students that have various learning barriers
* Have a genuine empathy and understanding of the students with emotional needs
* Willingness to learn and build relationships with students
* Strong communication skills
