A lovely secondary school in the Chichester area is looking for a teaching assistant to join their thriving team of teachers and support staff. Your role would involve working in small groups or on a 1:1 basis with students, supporting and guiding them, alongside the teacher, in developing functional skills and ASDAN qualifications.

Your role will require:
* An understanding of each students' health plan
* Liaising with the teacher to ensure all learners are supported
* Engaging learners to keep them on task
* Delivering 1:1 or small group-focused lessons when required

The skills required:
* Good Maths and English skills
* Previous experience working with Autistic learners (or students with challenging behaviour) is essential
* Patience and flexibility to deal with changes that may present themselves due to the nature of the learners
* The ability to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
