Do you have experience working with children with SEN/EBD? Can you build strong and positive relationships with children and adults? Are you someone who enjoys a challenge and strives for success?

This role will give you the opportunity to give SEN children access to an interactive curriculum to improve their social, emotional and behavioural skills. A specialised school near Crawley are looking for a proactive and supportive Teaching Assistant for young people aged 7-19 with a range of learning difficulties and speech and language needs.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Providing feedback to teacher on progress and development
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
-Supporting the general well-being of learners
-Tailoring learning techniques to individual learners
-Taking part and supervising outdoor activities and educational trips
-Supervising and striving to improve behaviour

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Have an understanding of and an interest in SEN.
-Ability to build positive and appropriate relationships with children.
-Be confident to lead small groups in different educational subjects.
-Be able to work with learners who have various learning difficulties.
-Be flexible and creative in your approach to learning techniques.
-Own means of transport is essential
