A specialised school for SEN students, situated near the Hayward Heath area, is looking for the right teaching assistant to join a thriving school and be part of a friendly and welcoming team.

The students ( ages 5- 13) have a variety of learning difficulties as they are on the autistic spectrum (ASC) as well as having social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) which comes with its challenges and its strengths.

Your responsibilities will include:
1:1 and group lead sessions
Assist the class teacher with day to day class preparation
Support students to raise their level of attainment
Encourage students to work toward a life of independence

A clear understanding of the challenges and success that come with working with SEN students
Ability to create a positive rapport with the learners
Ability to work with a team and independently
Availability to attend any career development workshops
