You will be working with children in a classroom environment.

This particular role is for a Teaching Assistant to work within year 4 supporting the current team in delivering engaging lessons. The role is part-time and is for someone looking for 5 mornings a week although there is potential in the future for the role to go full-time if agreed with the Head Teacher.

The School:

This over-subscribed popular primary school in the Preston area is looking for someone to join their warm and welcoming KS1 team. They are searching for a flexible person to support the current team in their calm and orderly environment where respect for the individual is paramount. The ideal candidate will be able to identify each child's differences and unique talents in order to then tailor their approach to ensure they are able to get the most out of every child. Currently the school educates approximately 200 pupils in an inclusive environment, making sure that every child is able to make fantastic progress. The ideal person will be able to demonstrate the ability to inspire the pupils to have respect for all members of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of engaging lessons
* Giving accurate handovers to the Teacher and/or parents of the child at the end of your day
* Helping the Teacher to set up activities

Please note that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.

* 2 references for the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
* Experience working within UK Primary Schools
* Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum

* A job history for the last 10 years
* Experience working in a UK Primary School
* An up-to-date DBS on the update service
