Are you an experienced Test Team Lead looking for your next career move? Would you like to step into a role offering more strategic responsibilities and operate as a Test subject matter expert for a successful, established software/systems business?

The company use an offshore software development model and require a UK based Test Lead to develop a new Test strategy to put some rigour and process in place. This is a great opportunity to really own the testing approach, deliver the testing and lead a small team (also offshore).

It's expected that Automation will play a key role in the future test strategy, therefore any experience with Automation tools and techniques would be highly advantageous.

The software is being used to deliver a range of control systems solutions, it would also be advantageous if you have a background in testing control systems technologies (using SCADA, PLC etc.), although this is not essential.

Key responsibilities:-

* Create robust, fit for purpose Test Strategy and Test Plans
* Identify suitable test data to cover both SIT and UAT phases
* Resource planning and allocation
* Coordinate software releases in line with change control management processes
* Identify opportunities for introduction of Test Automation, and assess which solution is most appropriate (Selenium, Cucumber, etc)
* Offer internal consultancy on Test methods, options and best practice

This is genuinely a great opportunity for an established Test Lead to work with autonomy, build something from the ground up and take the product into it's next phase.
