job description

Are you a qualified Primary school teacher still seeking that perfect assignment now that the new academic year is underway?

Does the idea of teaching Year 3 sound like the perfect next step in your career?

A Primary school situated in the London Borough of Redbridge, that boasts a committed and resourceful leadership team, is seeking to appoint a Year 3 teacher on a long term supply basis, a position that begins immediately.

This is a school that strives to provide each child with every opportunity available to acquire the essential skills that prepares them not only for the transition to Secondary education, but also for their working life; pupils are at the core of everything the school does.

Benefits of the role are:

* A school with a forward thinking approach where diversity, in all of its forms, is celebrated
* Working in a school that focuses on raising self-esteem among its pupils
* The opportunity to 'make a difference' immediately
* Being part of a school community where a healthy respect exists between staff and children, as well as a sense of teamwork and integrity
* Teaching pupils who are constantly encouraged to have an enquiring mind
* A curriculum that is stimulating, challenging and fun in equal measure

Responsibilities of the role include:

* Adhering to the school's Policies and Procedures
* Providing pupils with necessary feedback, encouragement and support
* Meeting with pupils' parents to discuss their academic progress at parents' evenings
* Setting the right example at all times
* Occasionally, you may supervise pupils during events and projects outside of the classroom such as cultural outings, field trips and excursions

Requirements of the candidate:

* You will need to hold UK QTS or be suitably qualified to teach in UK schools
* To possess effective classroom management strategies
* To be open to the possibility of a permanent contract
* Having a DBS already on the Update Service or the willingness to complete a new DBS application
* Ability to communicate effectively with others

This is truly an outstanding opportunity for the successful applicant.
