job description

Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process. Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules. In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s). Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.

Responsibilities:
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s). Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Prior experience with inventory management, warehouse optimization practices, forecasting tools, safety stock determinations, model and option planning, and new product inventory planning, along with a background in inventory reduction and product rationalization techniques.
Bachelor's Degree in supply chain or operations with 3 to 5+ years of related experience.
Excellent knowledge of Inventory management concepts, particularly the role of shelf life and temperature controlled material in a cGMP environment.
Comprehensive understanding or all supply chain dynamics, processes and workflow in a batch manufacturing environment, including Demand Management, Purchasing, Planning, Export and Distribution.
Self-starter with strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills required.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, excellent communication and presentation skills.

Experience at Pharmaceutical company or GMP environment
BA degree and 4 years experience
