Contract position: A manufacturing company, considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science is looking for an Electrical Drafting/CAD Technician in the Wilmington, NC area. This is a 8 months CONTRACT position. No per diem available.

Responsibilities for the CAD Drafter

  • Collect data from engineering teams and incorporate information into multi-sheet schematics, diagrams, layouts and reports. Correct redlined drawings issued by drafting team leader, development, or deployment teams. Convert "exploded" legacy symbols to "attributed block" symbols from standard library.
  • Convert "simple exploded" legacy schematics to "smart block" schematics. Create new component symbols to be added to standard library.

Requirements for the CAD Drafter

  • A.O.S. Drafting/CAD degree or A.A.S. Electrical Engineering Technology degree (will consider other technical degrees or experienced candidates with demonstrated skills in desired field). 2 years of experience in the electrical drafting field is preferred
