Permanent position: Privately held in Engineering firm is looking for a Construction Manager to work in their South Texas, Gulf Coast area and be based in Houston, TX. Qualified candidates must have at least 20 years experience and have worked construction in the Petrochemical/Chemicals industry.

Responsibilities for the Construction Manager

  • Managing a construction project for an international chemical company
  • Provides leadership and coordination of subcontractor management, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, supervising, managing project schedule and costs
  • Direct team to make sure project is completed on time and within budget
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Effectively communicate and maintain relationships with clients, crews, subcontractors and vendors

Requirements for the Construction Manager

  • Must have at least 20 years experience with construction experience in the petrochemical/chemicals industry
  • Must have Bachelors degree in engineering, construction, or related field
  • Must have experience dealing with Lump Sum contracts and dealing with large projects in the 250MM to 500MM range
  • Position will be based in Houston but candidates must be able to work/live in the Victoria, TX location for the duration of a project for 16-18 mos
  • Must have construction management experience
