job summary:

We are seeking a Consumer Collector to follow up on all delinquent accounts more than 60 days past due. This is a great opportunity to work with an established Banking client and further your career.

*This position will be remote to start then brought in-house once safe to do so*








     
    location: Marlborough, Massachusetts
    job type: Permanent
    salary: $40,000 - 43,000 per year
    work hours: 9 to 5
    education: High School
    experience: 2 Years
     
    responsibilities:

    • Work collection queues and make outbound calls
    • Review and document status of accounts
    • Initiate telephone contact on delinquent loans
    • Research accounts on the delinquent loan reports to ensure any errors are detected and corrected
    • Prepare correspondence for accounts requiring special handling
    • Utilize Collections system to document accurately
    • Determine reason for delinquency
    • Establish and monitor payment plans whenever possible
    • Meet and exceed goals monthly
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers(s)
     
    qualifications:
    • 2-3 years of recent/progressive consumer collections experience (previous call center experience preferred)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience successfully utilizing various computer programs including MS Office
    • Highly motivated and team oriented
    • Positive and persistent
    • Able to work in emotionally charged situations
    • Knowledge of collection laws such as Fair Debt Collection Act and Fair Credit Reporting Act
