responsibilities:

Credit Manager Duties

- Provide thought leadership on corporate credit and collections policies

- Participate on cross functional teams to develop corporate strategy and identify opportunities for process improvements, centralization, and standardization

- Demonstrate change management leadership for implementation of automated global credit scoring tool and other process optimization initiatives

- Monitor and analyze developing trends and events in geographies, industries, economies and the impact of those trends and events on business plans and accounts receivable portfolio

- Implement credit policies that optimize use of credit in support of the company's financial goals while effectively managing risk

- Interpret customer and supplier financial information; identify innovative customer financing solutions

- Educate and advise business divisions on portfolio and customer credit risk

- Coordinate and execute collection strategies, working closely with external vendors as well as law, finance, and business partners

- Ensure compliance with and external financial and legal standards related to credit and collections

- Provide consultation to SAP team on design issues for the credit and collections functions; ensure appropriate staffing for "go-live" and stabilization period

- Manage and cultivate a team of credit and collections professionals, including six direct reports and approximately 30 indirect reports and contract workers; manage corresponding department budget

 
qualifications:

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in business, finance, accounting, economics, or similar field

- Minimum 10 years of experience in credit and collections

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in business, finance, accounting or economics

- Certification as a Certified Credit Professional (CCE)

- Knowledge of bankruptcy, credit and business law, financial statement analysis, basic accounting techniques, surety bond processes and financial principles used in analyzing and interpreting the working capital impact of decisions regarding credit

- Experience in change management, process optimization, problem-solving, and working on cross functional teams

- Skills include analytical reasoning, persuasive and assertive, adaptable, optimistic, innovative, collaborative, excellent written and verbal communication
