job description

Prepare and submit quotations to customers within the department environment, interface with the supplier & customer community, and sells product to new and existing customers.
This is for a Distribution Company located in New Hyde Park NY

Responsibilities:
?? Address customers?? requirements from phone, fax, mail, or EDI communications
?? Prepare & submit quotations to customers
?? Review & process customers?? orders, preparing for Data Entry
?? Review customer terms and conditions for acceptability /Contract Review
?? Expedite critical orders
?? Source stock for critical requirements
?? Review & action customer open orders
?? Interchange parts
?? Obtain certifications or test reports when necessary
?? Initiate customer return process
?? Assist accounting with customer payment issues when required
?? Advise customers of order progress; deliveries, discrepancies, quality
?? Conduct telemarketing to acquire new customers and coordinate with outside sales team
?? Completes all other assignments that may be required by the company

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:
--Excellent written and oral communication skills
--Proficient in Microsoft Office
--Knowledge of AS400 preferred
--Basic understanding of economics and business operations
--Ability to read and understand charts
--Acute problem solving capabilities
--Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
--Ability to read and understand technical drawings
--Excellent sense of customer service
--Respect and empathy for other people
--Understand product application
--Knowledge of Aerospace Industry is a huge plus
--Ability to focus on tasks and be effective in pressure situations

Qualifications:
?? 2 year college or technical school degree, 4 year preferred
