job description

Disassemble and repair computers
Ensure that computers are handled carefully and not damaged
Work closely with testing team to ensure that computers are repaired correctly and are not
damaged

Responsibilities:
-Tests, troubleshoots and repairs complex system failures, as required
-Identifies through testing any opportunities for improvement (ex. test and or process gaps)
-Conducts visual mechanical inspection (VMI) of units, components (LCD, Motherboards, etc.) and/or subcomponents
-Assembles & disassembles units, computer components and subcomponents
-Performs computer data entry using Microsoft excel and/or internal databases including production systems
Follows procedures and diagrams in performing engineering change orders, as required
Visual mechanical inspection (VMI) of Computer Systems, computer components (LCD, Motherboards, etc.) and/or subcomponents
Interfaces with production, quality, receiving, inventory and engineering teams daily
Prioritizes repair workload according to schedule demands
Manages the flow of materials within the FA process
-All other duties assigned by supervisor

Working hours: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Skills:
Associates degree in Electronics, Computer repair or other technical field
-3-6 years experience in quality inspection role, FA and troubleshooting; preferably in an electronics environment
-Proficiency working with a computer and various databases
-Ability to read and interpret schematics/block diagrams with detailed understanding of computer and subassembly functionality
-Familiarity with MS Office (advanced Excel & PowerPoint) Presentation skills a must
-Familiar with computer software and operating systems and possess the ability to identify and perform software updates (OS,BIOS, Drivers, Firmware)
ability to use electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes & multi-meters, etc.)
-Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure quality requirements are met
-Proficient in the English language (oral and written)
-Ability to follow documented procedures and processes
-Close supervision provided
