job summary:

Financial Analyst for Major Entertainment Studio

Four Month Contract Position

  • 10am-7pm
  • Looking for production finance background with participations/residual knowledge
  • Will participate in production audit and support two executives

responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Residuals- Set up and monitor residual information/payments and transfer information to third party processor. Process residual invoices for payment
  • Audit - Assist in gathering requested documentation for various types of audits including license fee, breakage, co-production, guild compliance and production incentives
  • Billing - Interpret distribution contracts for billing purposes; track incoming payments and outstanding accounts receivable. Assist in verifying financial information. Work closely with Business Affairs and Distribution departments to ensure all contracts are billed correctly
  • Participations - Interpret contracts for financial reporting requirements, create and maintain participation statements, gather and verify validity of financial data, and track reporting cycles
  • Optimis- work closely with Staff Accountant to account for and purge AP as shows wrap; send necessary files to Optimis for scanning
  • Payroll- Sort and organize payroll for archiving and storage
  • Other Duties - Help maintain reporting and tracking in the above areas as well as other tasks as required by Executive Director and SVP of Production Finance
 
qualifications:

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 1 year of experience at an entertainment company
  • BS Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Excel skills and financial accounting software experience
  • Dependable, organized and strong attention to detail
  • Interested in being part of a fast-paced dynamic team
  • Positive attitude and flexible multi tasker
  • Production accounting experience a plus
