Duration: 6 months (possibility for extension and Temp to Hire)
Pay Rate: $50.00
Shift/hours: Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm
Location: Between Harrington and 19th Street close to Snow Park

Responsibilities:
Manage the billing process in a large healthcare setting
Provides day to day operational and tactical supervision of staff and processes in the development of a Regional Revenue Cycle business
Responsible for identification and implementation of key revenue cycle initiatives for the business unit by assembling and managing necessary resources
Billing operations, including the management and oversight of work queues in EPIC to assist in cycle times within defined parameters
Monitors performance results through observations, audits, statistical data analysis & operational reports, to achieve & sustain target operational metrics & address deficiencies by developing & implementing action plans, process improvement & employee development

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Skills:
Working knowledge of revenue cycle including: Insurance coverage, benefits and authorization requirements
Payer specific requirements (e.g. workers' compensation, managed care, commercial insurance, third party liability, Medicare, Medi-Cal ,and other government programs)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience working in a union environment HIGHLY DESIRABLE
Experience working with automated mainframe, personal computer and business software applications HIGHLY DESIRABLE
Effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as training and facilitation skills
Must have experience developing and maintaining budgets and operating plans
Skilled in team building, team participation, and achieving organizational success
Skilled in coaching, counseling, and developing others to achieve operational objectives
Excellent supervisory, problem solving and decision-making skills required
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through complex, medical, social and financial conversations

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
Three (3) years of concurrent experience in a revenue cycle capacity in an acute hospital environment (healthcare experience is required)
Five (5) years of relevant, progressive experience in a management role
ATS: Microsoft Project, Project Management, Project Management Methodologies, Project Scheduling, Quality Assurance
