We are seeking candidates for a temp-to-permanent Customer Service Representative opening in North Charleston. The hours of the position are 8am - 5pm and the pay is $12.50 - $13.25 an hour based on prior work experience.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will handle phone calls from providers, subscribers and account representatives in reference to claim payment, errors and benefit verification for multiple accounts. You will maintain call information and pending files for dedicated accounts and use RIMS to verify eligibility. You will be responsible for complying with all HIPAA privacy rules and related corporate and division policies and procedures to guard against any non-permitted uses and discloses of Protected Health Information.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

*Ability to handle high-stress situations;
*Strong organizational and analytical skills;
*Knowledge of contract design, CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding, medical terminology and COB.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
*High School diploma or equivalent
*One year experience in customer service in an insurance environment
*Working knowledge of plan documents and the claim payment policy
*Ability to handle a large volume of phone calls
*Computer literate and able to key at least 35 wpm
*One year of medical background
