job description

A Loan Processor provides accurate, quality service to customers and other associates while performing the work assigned, which includes processing new loans, processing loan payments, servicing existing accounts and performing a variety of clerical duties related to loan processing. A person in this position is expected to obtain/have a general knowledge of bank operations, and various departmental policies. This position requires a moderate amount of independent judgment.

Responsibilities:
Assist loan officers with paperwork, documentation and filing
Publish rate sheet daily for all mortgage products, monthly for home equity and consumer products
Order services from outside sources such as title insurance, appraisals, lien searches, environmental, flood certification, certificate of good standing and outside counsel
Organize loan files according to policy for each loan type
Review loan file and request deficient documents for loans
Request and file needed paperwork for loan, including: insurance, flood certification, UCCs, tax information, title information and customer financial
Specify loans that need additional attention by the loan officer
Work with Title Company to prepare closing packages
Breakdown of files and mailing of documents
Review maturing loan reports and work with lender to determine payoff/renewal status
Prepares loan document worksheet/checklist on approved loans for closing document preparation
Underwrite mortgage files (with secondary review)
Assist with preparing reports for management regarding income, new loans, pending pipeline and others as requested
Review documents prior to closing for accuracy
Provide administrative support
Regular and reliable attendance
Physical presence at bank
Perform other related duties as assigned

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Proven ability for problem solving
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows, Internet and pertinent software for the department

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, contracts, credit and financial reports and legal documents
Ability to interpret regulations and reports
Ability to exercise good judgment in establishing and maintaining working relationships
Ability to deliver a high level of responsiveness to internal and external customers

Qualifications:
Experience in customer service or loan experience
High School Diploma or GED
