POSITION: Manager, Licensed Custom House Broker

LOCATION: Charlotte

A leading international company has an opportunity in Charlotte for a Licensed Custom House Broker to direct brokerage for the South Atlantic Region. Great opportunity for a candidate with at least 5 years of international freight forwarding / custom house brokerage and/or regulatory consulting to corporate clients. Must be experienced directing regional initiatives, and must be up-to-date on compliance and regulatory issues effecting the importation of goods from abroad. Candidate should also have a background in Customs Brokerage and be familiar with government programs including 10PLUS2, ACE, CTPAT.

The Custom House Broker will work closely with regional sales and will be responsible for all import activities including compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and U.S. government agencies,, import accounts receivable, brokerage, and will assist with brokerage operations to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed. This position will also work closely with other departments including sales and operations and will manage profit and loss, pricing, and corresponding expenses.

Ideal candidate should be a practicing Licensed Custom Broker for the past two to five years with a leading international freight forwarding. Strong customer service and business development skills are also required as well as the ability to be multi-tasks oriented and flexible. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong mathematical and quantitative background are required.

Generous compensation package including base, bonus incentives, 401K, Medical/Dental.
