job description

This is a challenging Administrative Assistant position that requires an intellectual candidate who is a quick learner and capable of tasks including understanding and entering scientific data into a database with 100% accuracy. This candidate must have the ability to run reports, adapt to scientific needs and be flexible to help in other areas when required.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the performance of a variety of duties involved in collecting and entering data into an electronic computer according to instructions.
- Coordinate the collection of data from point of origin, participate in the pre-processing of data and locate missing information as necessary.
- Verify data entered into computer by checking for errors and correcting as required, perform checks to ascertain accuracy of data entered.
- Creation of Excel spreadsheets and Data preparation for periodic data analysis.
- Assist with administrative duties as required. Preparation of worksheets used in laboratory.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
- Must be extremely experienced in the US and development of Windows based spreadsheets and databases.
- Must be experienced in data entry with accuracy.
- Possess the ability to comprehend scientific data.
- Must be very precise with attention to detail.
- Ability to consistently double check work for accuracy. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, must be a team player.
- Must have computer skills including proficiency in Excel, access, word and email.
- Prefer someone with experience in EMR. Experience working in the laboratory environment a plus, though not mandatory.

Qualifications:
- College degree preferred, but not required
