Are you a dedicated, reliable office support professional? We are looking for an experienced medical office clerk to join the team of a busy clinic in Germantown, TN.

If you are adept at following office procedures to complete task in a timely manner while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor, and customer focus in sometimes stressful and sensitive situations, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
As a medical office clerk, you will provide positive customer interface, obtains and enters in computer all information needed for patients seen in the Clinic to ensure accurate billing. You will perform daily administrative tasks including filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, posting, and other similar duties. You will work in private healthcare, fast paced environment and assist with billing and payments using a computer and other automated systems. You may answer inbound calls and assist or transfer patients to the appropriate party to assist with scheduling, payments, insurance, and other patient needs.

Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:
--Collects copay, coinsurance or other balances owed on account
--Prints billing slip for physician to mark services performed
--Schedules follow-up appointments
--Cancels patient appointments that do not show with a cancel reason of "no show"
--Creates appointment reminders
--Enters charges same day of service
--Codes diagnosis
--Posts payments same day of receipt
--Reconciles payments daily
--Ensures that claims are in drop status at charge entry
--Works hold bucket for any claims that do not have drop status
--Create a patient friendly environment
--Greets visitors and patients to determine their needs and directs them accordingly
--Scan front and back of insurance card and drivers license
--Verify and update insurance information and demographics
--Checks insurance eligibility
--Determines and reviews financial responsibilities and insurance coverage through patients

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years in a healthcare administrative role
Basic software skills required
Ability to prioritize task and keen attention to detail
Excellent listening and customer service skills, both in person and on phone
