Our client, is looking for a temp Ocean Import Coordinator for their downtown Chicago office for about 4 months. The person in this role is primarily responsible for ensuring the proper and timely movement of shipments.
Some relevant supply chain experience is key in this position

Responsibilities:
-Looking for candidates with good follow up abilities, strong organizational skills, and email communication skills.
-Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry.
-Ability to work in a team environment while also delivering independent results.
-Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
-Validate billings from vendors.
-Demurrage management.
-Issue in-hand Documentation.
-Transfer time sensitive import documents to brokerage.
-Responsible for customer service internally, bookings, documentation, and execution of routing for assigned shipments.
-Responsible for assisting department co-workers with problems, issues, and questions.
-Responsible for informing management/customer service of import??s progress.
-Responsible for reviewing all documents.
-Notify exceptions to customer service.
-Verifies that shipments are processed through U.S. Customs.
-Assists the day-to-day operations of the import department to ensure that customer requirements are met.
-Responsible for communicating information and instructions to/from vendors.

Working hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
