job summary:

THE ROLE:

We are working with a leading investment firm in Downtown Boston who is in need of a Portfolio Advisory Billing Associate to join their team on an ongoing contract position, with an initial period of 2-3 months. This role is responsible for the quarterly fee calculation and invoicing of advisory services clients. This critical role is within the Accounting and Finance Department and is focused on analysis of fees on a quarterly basis, budgeting and forecasting and revenue.

FUCNTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Timely collection of portfolio data needed to calculate quarterly fees of advisory-level service clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support of the invoice Communication with clients (i.e., responding to inquiries pertaining to fees, collection calls)
  • Calculation of pro-forma fees for prospective advisory-level clients, including interaction with Marketing, Client Relationship Management, Legal, and Consulting departments Historical analysis of advisory-level fees and revenue
  • Projecting of advisory-level fees and revenue
  • Work with Information Technology department to maintain and make enhancements to the database and internal interfaces.
  • Work with audit team during interim and year-end audits of the financial statements Responding to requests for data-related to advisory-level service contracts/clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or business administration 2-4 years of related experience in an investment or financial services firm
  • Advanced knowledge and utilization of MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Access
