A Project Engineer (Manufacturing/ Process Engineer) is needed for a contract role with a renowned automotive manufacturing organization in the Lexington, KY area. Qualified candidates must have a 5+ years' of manufacturing/ process engineering experience, preferably for an automotive manufacturer. This is a long-term contract opportunity, and candidates must be willing to work in Evansville, IN for up-to one year, and per diem will be provided. Our client is only interested in local candidates or candidates willing to relocate themselves.

Responsibilities for the Process Engineer

  • Conduct process planning for large automotive body manufacturing projects
  • Specify and procure required manufacturing machinery
  • Oversee and manager equipment installations
  • Conduct equipment quality analysis, and adjust machines as needed
  • Create, monitor, and update project scope, budget, and schedule controls

Requirements for the Process Engineer

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Experience
  • 5+ years' of manufacturing/ process engineering experience, preferably for an automotive manufacturer
  • Ability at times, to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts during project installations
  • Proficient Computer Skills: MS Office, and ability to manipulate CAD software
  • Willingness to work in Evansville, Indiana for up-to one year; Per Diem will be provided while in Evansville
