job summary:

Position Overview:

The Research Project Manager will manage project execution of research studies, coordinate global research projects and support senior staff as needed. Executing day to day project related tasks, including scheduling, tracking results, etc.

Additional components of the job would include:

  • Review all of the claims, data sources, and methodologies that the B2B marketing organization publishes externally to ensure Google is only publishing high-quality work, accurately positioning the claims, and is in compliance with policies.
  • Initial syntheses of research outputs like results decks / reports and longer-form write-ups

responsibilities:

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

1. Project management:

  • Manage YouTube and Google brand health tracking research projects, including day-to-day management of local studies and coordination for global study.
  • Work with research agency on day-to-day management of projects, develop questionnaire and sample design, oversee fieldwork and ensure that reporting is accurate and compelling. Incorporate findings into output materials, including decks and synthesis documents.

2. Claims approvals:

  • Review and approve/deny all Google B2B marketing claims that will be published externally (Think with Google, keynote speeches, social posts, etc.)
  • Manage twice-a-week office hours where marketers can join for methodology questions and respective claims approvals
  • Manage all final claims approvals for Google marketing and sales executive leadership public presentations
  • Create and manage a database of all approved claims to ensure consistent usage of the work moving forward

3. Output docs:

  • Revise initial research output decks from vendor(s) and revise language to move closer to an executive-ready end-product
  • Draft initial versions of qual research write-ups, identifying research themes and most critical takeaways for Google marketers
 
qualifications:
  • BA degree in Project Management, Research and/or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience Managing multiple research projects, either as part of a research agency or as part of an internal client research team, with experience showing significant breadth and depth into qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (to review research that meets claims criteria)

  • BA degree in Project Management, Research and/or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience Managing multiple research projects, either as part of a research agency or as part of an internal client research team, with experience showing significant breadth and depth into qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (to review research that meets claims criteria)
  • Demonstrate unrelenting attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of statistics and survey design, including margin of error calculations, correlational analysis, etc. and when to apply them
  • Have demonstrated skills in project management, stakeholder management and process flow
  • Have a customer service mindset for responding to requests quickly and documenting progress and an ability to identify opportunities to improve or streamline processes
  • Able to operate in a very fast-paced environment with a deep desire to apply research findings to business strategies
