Contract position: A Senior Electrical Engineer is needed for a 1 year contract in the Burlington, MA area. The ideal candidate will have their BSEE and 10+ years experience in facilities power distribution, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security engineering. Candidate should have a solid working knowledge of the NEC code and a good understanding of basic building code requirements and of general construction practices. Prior airport facility design experience and specifically experience with TSA check point technologies are a plus. Apply now for immediate consideration!

Responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Providing technical expertise and leadership for the design and construction of facility power distribution systems
  • Developing, planning, and designing facility components including power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security, which includes construction drawings and specifications, cost and quantity estimates, and analysis (power distribution, engine generators, load analysis, etc.)
  • Surveying customer facilities and documenting of existing conditions for proposed electrical facility upgrades
  • Responsible for technical coordination and cost and schedule performance of the project design, as well as providing direction and consultation on electrical issues at various sites

Requirements for the Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Personnel Security Clearance ('PCL') from the U.S. Government, which are only issued to U.S. Citizens
  • BSEE
  • 10+ years experience in facilities power distribution, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security engineering
  • Experience in the development of data, drawings, and specifications to permit the detailed layout and construction of complex designs
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and Life Safety codes
  • Willingness to travel (approx 30-40%)
  • Prior airport facility design experience and specifically experience with TSA check point technologies are a plus
