This position will support revenue recognition functions, controls for revenue, contract review/compliance, and close functions. Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Revenue Accountant who will be responsible for the worldwide revenue activities, lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes related to revenue, execute revenue related SOX controls, and provide audit support. This role will have the opportunity to heavily involve in daily operations and improvements for automation and implement new processes. The successful candidate must have the ability to operate effectively and independently in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment.

  • Ensure daily revenue transactions continue to be in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Complete general ledger reconciliations and follow-up on outstanding reconciling items. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management.
  • Execute various key SOX controls related to the revenue operations, this includes and is not limited to new customer account review and approval, completeness and accuracy review of daily invoice transactions, various key internal controls around ASC 606 such as contract review to identify performance obligations and related revenue recognition implication.
  • Strong work ethics and analytical skills, and has solid knowledge of revenue accounting. Understand the business implication under the new revenue recognition standard and can provide guidance on revenue related questions from internal business partners.
  • Responsible for month-end and quarter-end revenue close, this includes and is not limited to deferred revenue analysis and journal entry, estimate revenue in compliance with ASC 606 and document detailed analysis, reconcile various revenue related accounts to the GL and perform foreign currency translation variance analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of revenue accounting processes. Support internal control as well as external audit reviews relating to the revenue area.
  • Support the external audit team to ensure all information is provided in a timely and accurate manner during quarterly reviews and annual audit. Prepare audit schedules and review auditor selected samples to ensure all revenue related questions are effectively and appropriately addressed.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for general financial operations, as needed, to support business growth.
