Technical Trainer opportunity with a leading company located in the Columbus, OH area. This position will be responsible for delivering/facilitating training programs for sales and field service personnel including but not limited to, power distribution product knowledge, power distribution testing, safety, installation, repair, service, and troubleshooting. Relocation assistance will be considered on a case by case basis.

Responsibilities for the Trainer

  • Work with management to establish, maintain, and manage training programs that support field service personnel
  • Oversee, and deliver as needed the instruction of field service, safety, and new hire technical classes
  • Manage, and conduct all forms of training to include instructor led, virtual, online, lab exercises and field exercises
  • Administer written and practical exams and write performance reports to evaluate trainee's performance
  • Collaborate with the development team to create and maintain a series of leader-led, blended, and self study courses
  • Manage classrooms and lab areas to facilitate maximum learning outcome
  • Develop and maintain a master training schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements for the Trainer

  • Bachelor's Degree in EE, CS, or similar technical field (military or technical school training with experience may be considered)
  • Approximately 5 years instructional experience or recognized instructor qualifications with an emphasis on Power distribution and testing, UPS, power, or power monitoring systems
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on presentation skills
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of supervisory, organizational and good management skills
  • Proficient PC skills including all Microsoft Office products and web-based technologies
