About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Accounts Receivable Manager:
- Collect Fees and Deposits for all Childcare Centres by preparing and processing weekly EFT files
- Manage Direct Debit declines and the Collection of these fees across our campuses
- Ensure Xplor accurately reflects the collection of fees and manual payments
- Ensure Ad hoc fees, including declined fees, are actioned within assigned timeframe
- Process Credit or Bond refunds
- Contact all dishonored weekly fee accounts and ensure outstanding debts are brought to a satisfactory conclusion
- Follow up on all outstanding debt and declined fees, ensuring payments are received prior to next weekly billing cycle
- Address and resolve any Billing inquiries assigned by investigating and resolving matters in alignment with guidelines and policies
- BPoint credit card charges are to be processed and reconciled on a daily basis
- Manual charges will need to be actioned upon based on request
- Ad-hoc administration tasks as required
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function:
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 1 year (or equivalent) demonstrated related experience in similar position
- Experience in commercial or education environment is highly desirable
- Experience in large Accounting ERP systems
- Intermediate Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain ongoing effective relationships with stakeholders
- Junior candidates with good exposure to AR - collections experience
