Role: Assistant Project Manager

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our client, a market leader in the water industry. This role will be based out of Maidstone, supporting the Project Manager and project teams covering the Southern Water framework.
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by assisting in the coordination and management of project activities, while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting exemplary safety and quality standards across all projects, including both direct and subcontracted workforce
- Assisting in the implementation of the Business Management System (BMS) throughout all project phases, from tender handover to final completion
- Assisting in cultivating and nurturing strong client relationships at various levels
- Helping to ensure appropriate staffing levels for projects and clarifying individual responsibilities
- Contributing to strategic project planning, including review and endorsement of the Project Execution Plan
- Assisting in the preparation and approval of detailed construction plans and method statements prior to project commencement
- Supporting the proactive management of all commercial aspects of projects, providing accurate forecasts and estimates in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience in assisting with multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, preferably within the water industry
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in construction, commercial, or engineering-related discipline
- Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or working towards certification
- Familiarity with Construction Contracts, particularly NEC and/or IChemE
- Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations
- Previous experience in water and wastewater treatment plants (an advantage)
