This school is looking to appoint a motivated, inspiring, friendly individual with strong communication skills to join the growing Careers and Employability Team for the new academic year 24/25. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Careers Advisor who is dedicated to transforming the lives of young people.
This is a full time role starting ASAP and you will be expected to work from 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
Some of your main responsibilities:
- To work collaboratively to meet the specific needs of workload peaks
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and briefings and support & supervision sessions
- Consult and feedback to colleagues and students as necessary, passing on appropriate information to other team members
- Other duties as reasonably required by the Principal and other senior leaders
- Supervise agency staff, trainees and students on work experience
- To provide impartial advice and guidance to current and prospective learners
- To attend all team meetings and drop into curriculum meetings by arrangement
- To undertake general administrative duties and processes within the department
- Take responsibility for personal development, attending conventions, conferences and fully participating in staff development activities
- To regularly produce reports containing statistical and qualitative data
- To support the delivery of the Careers programme across the school
Some of your requirements to earn this role:
- Proven experience providing Careers Education role
- Eligibility to work in the UK is ESSENTIAL (sponsorship is not available with this role)
- Enhanced DBS on a update service is a must
- 2 recent relevant preference
- Proficient in using all standard Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Email etc.)
- Excellent telephone manner, being polite and courteous at all times
- A team player who is able to confidently interact with others, but who is also able to work independently
- Accuracy and attention to detail
