Job Title: Children's Social Worker - FDAC Team
Location: Gateshead, UK
Salary: £27 per hour

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker in the FDAC Team (Family, Drug & Alcohol Court Team) based in Gateshead.
About Us:
The FDAC Team is committed to providing innovative and effective support to families affected by drug and alcohol misuse. We work within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework, utilising the Family, Drug & Alcohol Court model to promote positive outcomes for children and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies.
- Providing direct support and interventions to families, including advocacy, counseling, and practical assistance.
- Facilitating multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to coordinate services and monitor progress.
- Liaising with external agencies and professionals to ensure coordinated support and seamless transitions for families
Requirements:
- Registered with Social work England
- A Degree in Social work or Diploma in SW, CQSW, CSS
- Right to Work in UK
- Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in children's social care.
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Experience working with children and families, preferably within a child protection or family support setting.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage a complex caseload.
