Position: Contact Centre Representative
Location: Mt Wellington, New Zealand
What You'll Do: As a Contact Centre Representative, you'll become a valuable member of a welcoming team at a well-known New Zealand charity. Your primary role will involve:
- Inbound Customer Support: Answering inbound phone calls from a diverse range of potential customers, addressing their inquiries, and providing expert assistance with a positive tone and empathetic approach.
- Data Management: Accurately inputting data into computer systems to ensure that customer information and requests are properly documented and tracked.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with other service teams within the organisation to provide comprehensive assistance to customers and resolve their issues efficiently.
- Exceptional Customer Service: Demonstrating impeccable telephone etiquette, ensuring every customer interaction leaves a positive impression.
- Emotional Intelligence: Utilizing your strong emotional intelligence to connect with customers on a personal level, understanding their needs, and providing empathetic support.

Job Details:
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
- Rotational Saturday morning shift every 4-5 weeks (7:30 am - 12:30 pm)
- Hourly rate: $26.50 per hour + 8% holiday pay
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, you should:
- Be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or possess a valid open work visa
- Pass a Police Check with no criminal convictions
- Have proven customer service experience in contact centres, hospitality, retail, reception, or similar roles
- Excel in high-pressure or stressful situations, demonstrating confidence and resilience
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be technologically adept, quick to learn and use new systems accurately
- Display a strong work ethic, a passion for helping people, and a commitment to teamwork
- Experience dealing with difficult customers and providing examples of how you've successfully resolved their issues
