Company Overview:
I am currently assisting a leading FM service provider with their ongoing search for electrical maintenance engineers to work on a large city-wide contract across London. My client look after over 30 buildings across North, East, South, West, and Central London. My client are rapidly expanding, winning multiple new contracts since the turn of the year and are looking to take on experienced maintenance electricians as part of this growth plan.
- Salary Range: £42k-£48k (dependant on experience & qualifications)
- Locations: Static sites across North, South, East, West, and Central London (Zones 1-6)
- Plenty of overtime available in evenings & weekend (non-compulsory)
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing timely and effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to extend the lifespan of electrical equipment and systems, including: UPS, transformers, Circuit breakers, distribution boards/panels and HVAC power supply.
- Collaborate with the wider team to carry out electrical projects, upgrades, and minor installation works
- Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations, ensuring compliance in all electrical maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and service reports.
Requirements:
- NVQ / C&G Level 3 in electrical installation and/or Level 3 electrical apprenticeship
- 17th/18th edition
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in building services (commercial offices, hospitals, or critical environment preferable)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Plans to grow and climb the ranks in a company
