Randstad, in collaboration with the NSW Electoral Commission, are seeking expressions of interest to work on NSW Local Government Elections 2024 in Newcastle!
Pay Rates: $30.10 - $41.39 per hour + super
Contract Length: Flexible, ranging from one week to eight weeks.
Locations: Newcastle Entertainment Centre
Start Dates: From 26th August 2024
Positions Available:
Front Office & Support Roles:
- Receptionists: Provide reception and admin services, perform cleaning activities, and manage stock for a dynamic election environment.
- Gatekeepers: Manage the flow of ballot papers between logistics, batching, and data entry teams.
- Gatekeeper, Batching, and Data Entry Supervisors: Lead gatekeeper staff and coordinate ballot paper movement between teams. Additionally, oversee the batching and data entry process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Batching, Registration, Data Entry & Results Management:
- Senior Supervisor & Supervisor - Batching: Oversee batching teams, manage workflows, and certify count results.
- Batching Officer: Accurately check and sort ballot papers to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
- Registration Officer: Contribute to result counting through data entry and provide support to supervisors.
- Data Entry Supervisor: Lead data entry teams, provide training, and ensure accurate and efficient data processing.
- Data Entry Officer: Enter preferences from ballot papers with precision, ensuring accurate reconciliation.
Logistics Team:
- Logistics Supervisors: Lead the logistics team in ensuring the smooth receipt and dispatch of ballot papers. Supervise a small team and maintain efficient operations throughout the election period.
- Forklift Operators: Assist with forklift operations for ballot paper dispatch and bulk material placement, with additional pick packing duties as required.
- Pick Packer/Manual Handlers: Undertake manual handling tasks including carton lifting, pallet sorting, and setup, ensuring efficient logistics operations.
