Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Randstad C&P are working with a growing residential construction firm based in the vibrant city of Glasgow. Dedicated to creating high-quality homes that meet the needs and aspirations of clients, they are looking for a dynamic Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Position Overview:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Quantity Surveying team in the successful delivery of residential construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their career in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
- Conduct regular cost assessments and monitor project expenditures.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare and analyse tender documentation.
- Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor quotations.
- Monitor and report on variations to the contract.
- Maintain accurate records of quantities and costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Support the Quantity Surveyor in preparing monthly cost reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in relevant software, including Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory. Graduates are encouraged to apply.
